My cup runneth over

Some days just get away from me. Sometimes, a whole week flies by before I stop and take notice. This has been one of those weeks.
I resolved to not let that happen today! Today, I would enjoy and be productive. In order to satisfy these two criteria – I must PRESERVE!
Oh, yay!
It wasn’t purely selfish however, this desire to preserve; several of you have written to me asking about some of the out of stock products in my shop
Let me explain; I recently filled a large order that was part of self-care parcels for our school board’s Administrators.
Our Principals and Vice Principals go into their schools every day. They are present for their staff and for their students. They see to it that our schools continue to roll smoothly, often with daily challenges, during these bumpy times. They take care of the rest of us. Yet, they too must be taken care of. They too must be shown kindness and support, as well as be reminded to be kind and patient with themselves. Sometimes, that reminder comes in a pretty bag filled with goodies to enjoy and a lovely journal to spend some time with. They must fill their own cups before continuing to fill those of the people around them.
And so, today, I preserved! And it was grand!
I started early and made a beautiful batch of garnet Red Wine Jelly from a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. Great smell to wake up to… Then, I made my luscious Pineapple Rum Jam, (delicious on toasted homemade leftover oatmeal  bread). I  followed that with a tart Cranberry Red Onion Relish and wrapped up production with a glorious Lemon Ginger Marmalade
Oh, joy!
My cup runneth over.
Now, I’m off for a walk on this beautiful crisp Montreal Fall day.
How do you fill your cup?
